Who we are

People who have stood at the lab-bench.

Labredi is built by people who have spent more than a decade helping science and technology businesses develop their workforces. We have worked with apprentices, mentors and auditors across materials testing, chemicals, food safety and life sciences, and we have seen the same patterns wear teams down: paperwork that does not match the work, training that bears little relation to competence, audits that rediscover gaps after the fact.

Why now

We do not need another course.

UK science and technology need to add roughly 133,000 roles by 2030. Around half of new lab technicians leave their first role within the first year, most citing overwhelm. The answer is not another course. It is software that runs the SOP itself, captures evidence as the work happens, and produces an audit trail that mentors, auditors and apprentices all share.

Working together

Shaped by a small group of laboratories.

The first version of Labredi is being shaped by our beta partners. They get prioritised onboarding and a direct line into the roadmap. We get the right kind of feedback early, from senior technicians, the mentors above them, and the auditors confirming compliance.

If your lab is apprentice-heavy, audit-heavy, or both, we want to talk. We're looking for partners we can learn alongside.
